Avatars in Buddypress not working

  • Hi!
    I’m wondering why the Avatars in BuddyPress are not visible and the avatar-pictures can be uploaded but not be cropped. It seems as if the images in /wp-content/uploads/avatars can not be opened. I always see a 404-page if I try to open the image-url directly.

    Do you know how to fix the problem? Using WP 3.8.1 and BuddyPress 1.9.2.
