    1. the social plugin overrides the function get_avatar() so the other plugins can correctly display the social avatar.

    2. the social plugin does not take care of the new wordpress function get_avatar_data() and get_avatar_url() so othes plugins does not correctly display the avatar.

    The fix for this issue has been added in version 4.8.1
