AvaTax Slow Totals Calculation at Checkout

  • I’m using the WooCommerce AvaTax plugin and as soon as I activate the plugin the checkout took around one and a half minutes to calculate the totals, when usually takes 20 seconds top.

    I already tried disable any other plugins to isolate the issue and the slowness only appears when the WooCommerce AvaTax is activate.

    Any suggestions will be more than welcome?

    We’ve had some reports of AvaTax issues today due to the Avalara API being down for a bit. You can see the API reports under “Past Incidents”: https://status.avalara.com/

    Now that everything looks good again, are you still having slow loading times?

    Hi @laceyrod thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I tested everything again and the slow loading times persists.

    Any idea?
