• I just discovered this plugin and think it could fit my business’ need for a testimonial page.
One of the requisites would be a way (shortcode ?) to display the average ranking on my homepage, which would then reflect in a rich snippet. Is this possible ? Could it be made ?

I have seen the plugin hasn’t been updated in a long time, is it still active ? (Seems to be from the great support, but I am a bit itchy when it comes to updated plugins, even if I believe a good plugin doesn’t need updates for the sake of it)

I would be glad to begin using the plugin and thanks for your work !

    Best regards
    Christian

  • Hi @chrikn,

The plugin allows you to add reviews and assign ratings, and the shortcode prints it out using the appropriate rich snippet markup. However, only Google determines whether or not they display those ratings in search results. So it can help but can’t guarantee what you want.

You can learn more about the shortcode in the docs here:

    https://doc.themeofthecrop.com/plugins/good-reviews-wp/user/faq#shortcode

I still maintain the plugin. It is used in all of the themes I sell at themeofthecrop.com. But as you have noticed, no new features have been added in a while and I don’t have plans to add more.

    Hi @natewr,

Thanks for the quick reply !
My question was if there was a possibility to load an average of all the reviews thanks to a shortcode
Let’s say I have 3 reviews with 2 times 4 stars and once 5 stars in my reviews page, could I get a quick recap (just the number of stars in icons and written, in this case 4,3/5) on my homepage using a shortcode ?
The idea comes from https://www.opendoor.com/ which seems to be a great way to show these of without being obstrusive.

    Thanks again,
    Best Regards,
    Christian

    Hi Christian,

Ah, I understand. No, unfortunately there’s no way to do this with the plugin at this time.
