• I would avoid this plugin for now or near future. Because of issues we found, and more, because of support. I have been a software engineer for 35 years – NASA, Intel, AT&T Bell Labs, Exxon, Lockheed, etc. – and this support group is SLOW and some of the most defensive, argumentative, arrogant, etc. I have ever encountered.

We tested this on FIVE sites. There re issues with the database design – including NOT syncing with the word press user db – which they consider a GOOD thing.

There are also issues with the registration system. In ALL cases, after registration, a “Login successful” message appears – above the header area, which screws up the theme. And when registering paid users, via PayPal, instead of being sent to a login page, the user is sent back to the registration screen and greeted by a long error message. (I am sure your users would love that as well as ours).

The response I got to that error report? I need to “change the text of the confirmation email”??!! That is like telling someone with engine problems to tune their radio to a different station! That was followed by an email telling us it was obviously an issue on our site. All 5 of them. (all hosted on different dedicated servers by 4 different vendors, etc.)

The rating I am giving it here is the same we are giving it in our survey publication. I had hopes for this plugin, but these are critical issues – and the support people just flat pissed me off.

Hi Joe C, sorry to hear this plugin did not meet your expectations. I hope you find a plugin that suits your needs here in the repository.

Once again thank you for your review.

Hi Joe C, there is a new version 2.1.9 you might like to test in the near future.

Unless you are telling me you have removed the nag screens/notices and the relentless “buy the upgrade buy the upgrade buy the upgrade” and improved support in this version, no thanks.

While the plugin has good features, in our survey report to our readers and clients, it ranks VERY low because of the incredibly irritating, distracting and obtrusive nagging. Poking and prodding users incessantly has never been a good business model.

Hi Joe C, I have tested the latest version on a few different servers and it works well on my end. I don’t see the notice that you mentioned above.

If you have a testing platform, you could try to deactivate all your plugins except this one and carry out a test? If that does not work then you could try a WordPress default theme like Twenty Fourteen to see if that fixes the issue you mention.

    Regards
