Avoiding errors, Customizr child theme

I can use the custom css in Customizr with no problem, but created a child theme after seeing all the recommendations to do so on the forum. I successfully added one snippet, but get a syntax error each time I add more. I am directly cutting and pasting the provided code into functions.php from the Themes & Co site, so can not figure out where I am going wrong. Is there a small piece I am missing?
