    Thanks for your help.

In recent months, we have been the victims of several instances of gift card fraud via Paypal Checkout. When selling digital gift cards in our online store (without a physical shipping address), the buyer is able to initiate a chargeback under which we are not covered/protected. Paypal only offers Paypal Protection for sellers when a physical shipping address is included the sale of the item.

To protect ourselves, we would like to do the following:

Use the PW Gift Card for WooCommerce plug-in to sell digital codes, but attach those digital codes to a physical gift card that needs to be shipped. We would make the sale, generate the digital code, print it out on a business card, and then ship that digital code/business card to the buyer.

    My questions are:

    1. Would this work? Can we require a physical address and require shipping for digital codes via this plug-in?

    2. Is it possible to disable auto-sending the code to the buyer when they pay? We don’t want to send them a digital code – instead, we want to send them the code via the physical gift card we send in the mail but manage their redemption history digitally via the plug-in.

    Please advise. Thanks!

Yes, you can accomplish this using PW Gift Cards Pro:
    https://www.pimwick.com/gift-cards/

After installing the plugin, click on Pimwick Plugins -> PW Gift Cards -> Create Gift Card Product. Then click on the Products menu on the left and edit the gift card product.

On the Gift Card tab on the edit product page, click the “Physical Gift Card” checkbox. Enter your own email address and this will require a shipping address when purchasing the gift card product.

When the physical gift card is purchased, a number will be generated and emailed to you. At that point you can print it out and mail it to the recipient.

www.ads-software.com doesn’t allow supporting Pro plugins using their forums so I am marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions please contact us at our website: https://www.pimwick.com

    Thanks for understanding!
