Avoiding those suffixes appended in url when variable products are added to cart

Add-to-cart for variable products, unlike simple products, makes the page reload, and a suffix (something like “?add-to-cart=variation&product_id=…”) is appended into page URL, and, in my case, it’s causing some conflicts with the pagination system. There’s any way to solve it? Why this fragment is added to the URL? After adding to cart, I manually exclude it, reload the page, and everything works equally well (checkout, widgets…).
