    Hi there,

I have done everything suggested in your setup information for Aws A3 and your free plugin- thank you for that. We are currently using the free version of your plugin while we try it out to see if it is right.

I am a little concerned though as we have only uploaded around 230 images on this staging stie, and Amazon are already saying our predicted charge this month with be already at 3.20usd. This is only a staging site so there really shouldnt be any traffic compared to what we will be getting and that amount of images is nothing compared to our 20,000+ we will be needing to upload.

Have I set something up wrong or is this right? It says the charge is for WAF.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi there!

WP Offload Media Support Team here, Thanks for reaching out with your query we would be happy to assist.

If you were charged for AWS WAF, a WAF setting/rule may have been added on your account.
AWS WAF is a separate service which are based on the number of web access control lists (web ACLs) that you create, the number of rules that you add per web ACL, and the number of web requests that you receive. More info here –

I did a quick internet search for you and found this post which is similar to what you ran into. Hopefully this can shed some light on what caused this to happen on your end and how to stop this from re-occurring.

Please note that AWS WAF is a service that is outside our area of expertise. If you require further information and assistance on this, we recommend reaching out to Amazon AWS support as they are better equipped to help you with this.
