AwardSpace.Com (Host) Issues with wp-config

    I am trying to do the same thing. Move from .COM to .ORG; I have hosting from awardspace.com and have uploaded the wordpress files using filezilla. I changed the wp-config file and saved, but when I try to install thru my browser (Google Chrome) I get a “error establishing a database connection error”

    I’m having a really tough time making sure the info in wp-config is correct

    not sure what you mean by ‘the same thing’

    Check with your hosting company to confirm your database connection details and check that they have been entered correctly into your wp-config.php

    I had to go to and re-input the password for my database… I had it correct in the wp-config file. I read online that sometimes this happens with AwardSpace.com, I reset the password and made sure I had the correct one in the wp-config file. Then it worked!
