AWB full image on mobile blurry

  • Hi,
    the images in cover mode with awb are very blury on smartphones. Somehow WP or AWB selects a too small images. Guess it selects it depending on the wide.
    How can I fix that?
    (the rest of the chapter opener images are with another plugin which delivers full size images which is also not optimal for mobile devices – that’s why I want to change it to AWB..)

    Hi.

    Image attributes generated automatically using the WordPress function:

    responsive background image

    Browser picks automatically the correct image from available sizes. You may try to add more image sizes manually https://soliloquywp.com/beginners-guide-to-add-custom-image-sizes-in-wordpress/

    ok but then there’s maybe an error in the picking? (The width of the mobile screen I tested is 320px)

    As you showed there are images for 300w and 400w available but I think it’s because when using AWB’s fullscreen/cover option than it should pick the image based on the high. Now it streches the images and so it becomes blurry

    Hi.

    Thank you for your clarification. It is really the core of the problem. I’ll look at it and try to solve the problem in the next plugin update (I don’t know when it will be fixed exactly because it is not has a higher priority).

    ok thanks! That would be awesome as now it doens’t really look nice and acceptable at all on mobile screens..and a lot people are viewing sites with their mobile
