We just purchased the Email Notifications add-on for Awesome Support today.

I tested it and we got following notifications (50% working):

Admin (Email set up in Email tab):
(NO notifications received when New Tickets were opened, replied, or closed)

    Client (Person submitting ticket):
    -Tickets Received
    -Agent Replied
    -Ticket Closed

It is good that the client is receiving ALL the notifications, but as a company, shouldn’t we ALSO receive notifications when a client opens a ticket, replies to the ticket, closes or reopens a ticket also??)

What additional settings we have to make so the admin also receives notifications?

Indeed you should receive those notifications. How are you sending the e-mails out? You might wanna have a look at this documentation article: https://getawesomesupport.com/documentation/awesome-support/email-notifications/

I did set up the Email tab, but I’m not receiving any emails from the email senders’ email address I put.

Since you posted the link I read before, which doesn’t have too much instructions and a 9 second video, do I have to use mandrill in order to receive emails then?

Using Mandrill is not required, but as explained in the “E-Mail Delivery” section, it is recommended because the standard method used by PHP to send out e-mails is not always reliable.

Then what am I missing? ?? i want to recieve notifications since we paid for this…

First of all I think we need to clarify one thing: which addon did you purchase? We don’t have an e-mail notifications addon because e-mail notifications are handled by the plugin core (free).

Now, as explained in the doc I linked above, if you’re having problems with e-mail delivery, the first thing to do is setup Mandrill (or any other e-mail service provider if you like). There is a complete guide on how to do this linked at the end of the documentation.

I will provide some screenshots of our backend settings tomorrow at work and see if you can help resolve the issue…

https://getawesomesupport.com/documentation/awesome-support/email-notifications/ is from the add on we downloaded directly from the backend of the tickets menu under addons for $19, its not yours? We’re only using Awesome support right now…so Emails Notifications was free?

    Thread Starter CarolLeung

    (@carolleung)

Email Support (to reply to tickets directly from email) was $49

Notifications (Receive Notifications when ticket was submitted, replied ) $19 was right below it

On top it said its Awesome Support…so we purchased the Notifications Add-on…to have the options to being notified when a ticket was opened and replied…

I works fine, but only the person who registers or creates a tickets receive email notifications and we, the admin team, doesn’t know when I ticket is opened unless we log into the backend…I was thinking Notifications email would notify BOTH the sender and receiver by email and not just the sender..

Again, you should be receiving e-mail notifications as an agent / admin just like the users do. If this doesn’t work properly, please follow the procedure linked above to setup Mandrill on your site.
