Awesome with minor shortcomings

  • A really great plugin. At first, the many options are a bit overwhelming but once you get a hang of it you will appreciate that they are there. I like it that you can handle each popup just like a post with all features available.

    What I miss badly though is an option to to terminate a popup by date. Like you want to announce a new product release for five days. I wish I could enter an end date for the popup to show.

    The included themes could have a more modern design but luckily you can customize them.

    Other than that, a great plugin! Thanks a lot.

    @glewe – Thanks for stopping in to give us some honest feedback. That said we do have a scheduling extension which offers that and soon will offer more like office hours etc.

    Also we would be happy to accept some user submitted “modern” themes. Admittedly I am not a designer, so the themes are rather basic. Honestly I am shocked that I see sites with 10’s of thousands of visitors a day running the default theme. Boggles my mind that nobody bothers to customize. So I thought maybe they just don’t know they can edit them with the editor. So I added additional links to the editor via the Appearance Menu -> Popup Themes, as well as in the popup editor itself where you select themes. Still I see sites with the default theme constantly.

    One idea we have been toying with is a theme repo / api where you can both submit/download community themes, but also where professional designers can sell premium packs of themes, but that could lead to an entirely different set of issues, features,.. headaches.. ??
