I’m really sorry that you had issues with displaying images after activating Smush, it sounds like there was a conflict with something on your site that could have caused the issue you’ve experienced.
These things could usually happen if you already have another plugin or theme applying their own Lazy Loading and it conflicts with the one included in Smush which causes the images to disappear.
I don’t see any support tickets started by you and we would like to check this further and see why you experienced this if you could provide us with your site URL and more info by creating a support ticket here:
