Awful plugin

  • Awful plugin, it automatically updated on our website and then sent emails in raw html, it compromised how other plugin functioned and even sent emails that were meant for admin only to customers. Am waiting for a refund.

    Are you sure the plugin automatically updated your website? I visited my website this morning and saw a lot of mailbank related errors. When I examined the plugin on my server, I noticed that it had been updated recently…but I haven’t updated it myself, and auto-updates are disabled…so who updated it? I assumed I’d been HACKED and have spent the last few hours looking into this.

    It would greatly reassure me if there was an auto-update of this plugin…do you have any evidence for this?

    The support forum suggests the new update now enables users to disable the automatic update but the old version did not. The update caused me huge problems as explained above so I removed it from my website and uploaded another smtp email plugin which now works fine. Could really have done without the problems and expense of fixing them as a result of this plugin.

    Okay, thanks REvans123. Seems my issue was due to the automatic update of this plugin.
