Hi, I created a SSL certificate as per instructions from “https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-using-lets-encrypt-certificates-with-wordpress” and when i installed the Really Simple SSL plugin it says “No SSL detected. Use the retry button to check again.”

I then clicked “Install SSL Certificate” and followed the instructions. The response i got was “Your hosting environment does not allow automatic SSL installation. Please complete manually in your hosting dashboard. You can follow these instructions. After completing the installation, you can continue to the next step to complete your configuration.”

Please help because it seems I followed all instructions properly yet still my site has no SSL.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Having the same problem.
It says my hosting doesnt provide automatic SSL, which it does.

I have SSL active, but yet i still get the error there is no SSL ready.
Went through the steps manually, it says you can press next when you’ve done these steps, but the button never becomes active.

Looking at https://bantuplaza.com, I see it now has a valid SSL certificate, which first it didn’t have. The plugin will now detect the certificate, and you can activate the SSL configuration. Let me know if you have any further questions.

@nickinatorz please check if your SSL certificate is valid by running a test here:
    https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest

If you want to install a certificate from Really Simple SSL, and the next button is not active, there is a warning/error in the list that prevents you from continuing. Please post the warning here so we can tell you what the problem is.

@rogierlankhorst Having the exact same issue as above for AWS lightsail setup according to:
    https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-using-lets-encrypt-certificates-with-wordpress

My cert and key are being installed to /etc/letsencrypt/live/domainname.com/
and then a link is made to cert and key files:
    sudo ln -sf /opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/certificates/DOMAINNAME.key /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/certs/server.key

The really simple ssl plugin doesn’t recognize the SSL cert in these directories, and trying to install one via the plugin also fails, as seen above. Any thoughts ?
