• Hi.

Today i see my audit trail containing only “today’s” items, while i have set it to keep 14 days log.

For some reason everything else was deleted and kept only the 10th Oct events.

    Thanks

It doesn’t actually truncate the data, it just doesn’t display. We have a bit of work to do on the audit trail display system as we had to limit it due to out of memory issues. It will come…

    Ok, understood.

I wish your plugin could provide more information to the admin, of what issues happen. Audit trail included. Also i see no bad IPs (blocked) list anywhere ?

Right now, i have only got one email from the firewall and nothing else. It would be nice to have some minimum emails also about for example when a transgretion starts or when an IP is added (or released after the timer) to the black list.

I mean, we will know better when this plugin offers protection.

    Thanks

We have opted with this plugin to not rely on emails. It’s not a great mechanism for site/security management – it simply doesn’t scale.

There are a couple of options in there for emails – eg. when an admin logs in.

Most security plugins out there rely on emails sending out every time something happens on their site to illustrate that it’s working. We log to the Audit Trail instead, when it’s enabled.

The automatic black list can be found in the IP Manager and there are 2 buttons underneath the options section to display currently blocked IPs and the white list.

Perhaps in a future release we’ll offer more email-based notifications, but it’s not honestly a priority since we’re looking to create a platform that scales. Emails don’t scale.

Thanks for your feedback on this.
