Back to the original search function (instead of the theme built in one)

    I have a website using Classipress as a template.
    For this website I would like to use a plug in for advanced search BUT the template use a built in search function that is so different from the original one that I have several mistakes.
    Is it possible to identify the concerned files and modify / delete them and get back to the standard search function ?
