Back to the top does not work

As checked, you’re currently running a child theme and perhaps there is an issue with it, that is potentially blocking the back-to-top button from appearing.

Firstly, you have to check your child theme’s files that overwrite the main theme’s. Compare the file side by side and ensure there is no line of code that presents in the main theme’s missing in your child theme.

Adding further, to quickly rule out child theme specific issue, try enabling the main theme and clear any cache for checking purpose.

Thank you. I tried enabling the main theme and back to the top still did not work. So it is not because of a child theme. Do you happen to know what else could it be? maybe someone else had the same issue?

Thank you for getting back.

I checked further on site’s footer area and seems likely it has extra content added by one or two particular plugins, that may be potentially cause script conflict with the theme’s back to top button.

To rule out plugin specific issue, try diabling all active plugins at once while enabling troubleshooting mode with Health Check plugin, so your visitors won’t be affected. Re-enable the plugins one by one and run your test in each to narrow down the culprit.

Thanks for this. It seems there was a conflict with plugin advanced woo search… Can i resolve it somehow?

I did quick checking by enabling that plugin on my Botiga test site and the scroll-to-top button still works correctly.

Perhaps you got specific setup with the plugin, that is blocking the button from appearing.

Thanks for looking into this. But to be honest, I have no idea what could have caused it. I used a minimal set of additional settings. Maybe we should request their package to extend their plugin compatibility with the Botiga theme?
