  • Same for me.
I add [footer_backtotop] in Footer “Back to Top” Link and the short-code is not interpreted.

Philippe, a workaround is to change it to [ footer_backtotop href=”#” ] instead (remove the extra spaces after and before the square brackets)

    Hi Cyndi,
    Sorry for the late reply.

I set [footer_backtotop href=”#”] in Footer “Back to Top” Link of Genesis simple edits and nothing changes.

The code is not interpreted and my page shows html : [footer_backtotop]

I even went on https://my.studiopress.com/docs/shortcode-reference/#content to get samples, in vain. Same issue. The tag is not interpreted. I suppressed the href to have [footer_backtotop text=”Top”], the same ….

I took out the div classes in the site in the box that says modify footer and replaced them with paragraph <p> and inserted the code.

Sorry I do not understand what you are saying … English issue ??
What did you wrote in Footer “Back to Top” Link of Genesis simple edits ?

    I put the site online : https://io.io-software.fr
You will see at the bottom of the page that the tag is not interpreted.

In the field Footer “Back to Top” Link, I have : [footer_backtotop]

If I set nothing, [footer_backtotop] is still “printed” at the bottom of the page …

    :-((((

I just installed Scroll Back to Top plugin and it works best as never !!!

    Thanks !

Hi, i have the same issue and i solved..
    try this one
    [footer_backtotop href=”#header”]

if you inspect element you ll find <div id=”header”> or whatever id is you want to link in shortcode.
