Backed Up Database And Lost Site

  • I followed the instructions to prepare for upgrading to 2.7 version by backing up my database. Now my site is down and though I managed to import the file back onto the Server I can’t even login to adminpage to disable plugins. Nothing I do can either bring the site back up or allow me to login to the adminpage. How do I resolve this issue?

  • delete all of the wordpress files except for wp-config.php and the /wp-content folder

    do a fresh install of 2.7 – do not overwrite above files

    import backed up db
