Backend Title on Posts Has Issues

  • Hello,

    After updating to WordPress 5.3 the backend title has issues.

    The part on the title field where it says “Add title” does not go away after you add title. This is only showing up on the backend, not front end.

    Tested on Theme Twenty Twenty as well with same results.

  • I’m having this same issue. Not only that, but it’s defaulting 15 characters into the title bar of All In One SEO Pack and they can’t be removed.

    @mitch9359 the issue with the placeholder text is unrelated to All in One SEO Pack.

    The default amount of characters you’re seeing are the characters from your title format (set in the General Settings menu) and as seen in the title of the preview snippet.

    In our latest release we refactored and improved our preview snippet code, which allows us to now also take the characters of your title format into account. This is not a bug; rather an improvement.

    Also having this issue. Is this a classic editor bug?
