    Hello all,

Quick question. I’m backfilling my site with post content and I made some posts and set the dates to the past. The post meta looks ok, but the post order is not correct on the homepage and my sidebar widget (recent posts).

I’d like for the posts to show in chronological order. Is that possible? Example here: https://www.thef1fan.com/ take a look at “Ecclestone’s message….”. The meta shows march 3rd but it is between two posts from march 9th (in the order i created them).

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi raphaefeli. If you edit the “Ecclestone’s message….” post what is the “Published on” date? If you change that date does the post change location on the page?

Hi bdbrown the post date is “Published on: Mar 3, 2015 @ 20:56” . I changed the dates around to a different day and then back to Mar 3 and nothing changed….

How about on that post, under Publish > Visibility, is “Stick this post to the front page” selected?

Nope, the visibility is set to public and the “stick” box is unchecked.

What happens if you change the Mar. 3 post from a format Standard to Image?

hi bdbrown, i just changed it and nothing happened. take a look…

    this is strange stuff!

Perplexing for sure… Next I’d try disabling Disqus and see what happens. I don’t know what that would have to do with anything but I’m just going down the list here.

Ok bdbrown, I figured out! I disabled all my plugins one-by-one and there was some sort of conflict between Yoast SEO and Simple Custom Post Order.

Disabling Yoast fixed the problem and enabling Simple Custom Post Order brought the problem back. I went ahead and deleted Simple Custom Post Order and the issue is gone.

Thanks for your help. I’ll have more questions on other things and I’m looking forward to your help!
