I can reproduce something like you describe, but only in IE7, not 8, 9, 10, or 11, of which I’d only worry about IE11.

The checkbox in the advanced general part of the settings page should do the trick, but note that that’s going away in the next update (not coming for a while), because IE7 is dead.

    Thanks for the reply.
The PC I do my testing on is running IE 10 and that is where I am seeing this problem.
I’ll try the check box and see if it helps.
    Thanks!

Hi, I tried checking that box with no change in my results. I’m running Windows 8 IE 10

I think that’s something intentionally built-in to your theme (it only extends up to a certain maximum width), but that the slider isn’t obeying. Floating social media links only controls the small white frame around the icons; the gray area is the html <body> and the gray is the background color set by the theme. Happens in every browser for me, at widths larger than 1600px. I agree that it looks kind of broken, though, try contacting your theme’s developer.
