    add the background image to the div that wraps the post – often the css class .post, or .hentry in style.css – depending on your theme.

    what. the guys that made that website did the photo in the background in a flash and there only 12-15 trust me I know. I just need to know how to put a faded image in the background

    Won’t work on all browsers, but you can at the style opacity: 0.3; – or you can just edit the image in Photoshop

    what you guys really aren’t helping the guys that did this are only 12 and there doing it by themselves it’s amazing how you 35 and ups can’t solve it

    @moejoe1234

    is the link behind your username the link to your site, you are asking about?

    if so, your site is with wordpress.com, and you are in the wrong forum – please ask at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/

    if you have a selfhosted site running on wordpress.org:
    please post a link to your site for more direct advice
    – you have so far got all information that one can give you without knowing your specific theme.
    btw, this is pure css/formatting tweaking and has primarily nothing to do with wordpress.

    if you think those guys from the other sites are better in helping you, please ask them.

    Seriously? The post background image at https://www.nachoarmy.net (the guitar playing desperado) is a PNG file (not Flash), hosted at photobucket, and it is placed pretty much the way that alchymyth’s first post suggests. The same with the other site, except the png-not-Flash image is hosted at tinypic. So… it isn’t the 12-15 year olds or the 35 and ups who are confused.
