• Hi, having trouble changing certain aspects of the Spice Software Dark Theme front page.

    I’m unable to change the background image on the home page. I’m not sure if the current image of a night time street scene is hard coded into the theme or not? If not, could someone let me know how to change it. I’ve tried adding an image using the menus >Colors & Background >Background Image >Select Image – nothing happens and my image is not visible.

    Thanks.

  • Hi, gblgcy

    Thanks for contacting us!

    You can change that image for the pages and posts by using the Unique Headers plugin.
    Install and activate the plugin and you will see the option in the page/post editor to add the custom header image. Refer to the screenshot.

    Thanks

    I can’t see any settings.
    I have the Unique Headers plugin installed.
    Should it work in non-pro?

    Yes, it is working in the free theme.
    Refer to the screenshot.

    Thanks

    Hi there – I have all the plugins but how can you change the default header so you dont always need to change it from the night scene image? Also would be nice to be able to change the dimensions for the header.

    Many thanks

    Hi, iainmillar

    To change the default header you can do this by adding the custom CSS code.
    Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Additional CSS and add the given below custom CSS code:

    .page-title-section {
        background: #17212c url('enter image url');
    }

    I hope it will work for you.

    The standard image size for the header is 1920 x 540.

    Thanks
    Rishabh
