I am not a web developer or professional designer. Just someone who is helping a friend manage their website. The person who designed the site used Elementor. Suddenly, a graphic that was showing up normally as an overlay on the background image on the homepage seems to have flipped or moved up on the page, and I cannot figure out how to edit it. I would just like it GONE if that is the easiest fix, but I cannot figure out how to access it to do this. What is also strange is that the graphic is showing up correctly in the Elementor editor. WordPress support was not helpful for this issue. They said they could not even access the homepage from the WP Editor.

I am trying to add screenshots but am not sure I can figure it out.

This is how it appears in Elementor editor.
This is the way it started showing up in my web browsers

I followed a tutorial to try to change the background image, and when I navigate to Settings, Style, and Background type, the existing photo and overlaid graphic aren’t even there. I cannot figure out where to go to edit them.

Okay, so I got it to go back to the way it was, and was able to find where to go to edit the background image. I still could not find where the wavy white lines graphic is to remove it. But it seems like when I changed the scroll type of the background image from “Default” to “Fixed,” it corrected the problem.
