The main menu on our home page, upon loading, is transparent with white text. This was so it was visible over our background image, then upon scrolling down it changes to dark on white. Recently, the top of our image (i.e. the guy’s face) is no longer visible and there is a white section, meaning our menu is invisible until you scroll down. How can we see the whole image and our menu again?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello there!

What theme are you currently using? Do you remember if something happened, or if you changed anything on the homepage, before experiencing this issue?

    Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the reply. The theme is The Gem, and I recall updating this, and possibly WordPress, late last year and wondered if this caused it.

The home page itself is unchanged in some time. In fact, I have a draft copy of the home page from a couple of years ago, where I had tested a new background image, and this draft has the same issue despite having a different image.

Have you already tried reducing the margin/padding to 0? If you are using a builder, you should be able to do it quite easily.

Let us know if it works! ??

Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t try that earlier! All good now, thanks so much.
