Background image on category

yes, you can use placeholder #_CATEGORYIMAGE under Events > Settings > Formatting > Calendar however is this using default EM calendar ? or modify template under events-manager/templates/templates/calendar-full.php

I’m not sure exactly where you want the image to display? You said in the calendar in your first post.

Can you screenshot where you have used the #_CATEGORYIMAGE placeholder please and also paste that formatting setting in here?

I would like the calender to put different images for different Categories. Calendar

Okay, the problem with that is that a category is only relevant when there is an event, so if you have more than one event on one day, your calendar will fill up with several images in one day.

That wont be an issue since we never have more then one event a day. But if its not possible to do, then thats that. I could settle for using only background colors for categories.

Looks from the screenshot like you may have the placeholders in the wrong place. They need to go under Events > Settings > Formatting > Calendar > Event format.

For what you want to do, I think your Event Calendar format should like this:

Yes its the one on the bottom right, and i put it there using shortcode. [events_calendar]

Ok, I see the problem now. You need the full=1 parameter to turn it into a full calendar – you’ll then see your formatting appear:

[events_calendar full=1]

That didn′t do it im afraid. I tried to make it fullsize, but that didn′t fix it.
