Background Images disappear on mobile when W3 Cache is active

    Hi there,

    I’ve been trying to solve this issue for ages but just can’t find the solution. Hope someone will able able to help.

    On the mentioned page there are title images / background images that show normally when viewed on Desktop. However, on mobile they just disappear. When W3 Total Cache is deactivated, the images appear again.

    I tried to deactivate each individual function in W3 Cache but nothing happens.

    Can you validate in the first place your source for all images? Maybe CDN issue?
    Please check your format. Usually, the background has a transparent image. Maybe format issue and not related to W3 Cache.

    Thanks for the quick answer.

    The problem only occurs for the background image on mobile. So all other images are shown and the site on desktop works perfectly fine. CDN is not activated for the site.

    And the problem only occurs when W3 Cache is activated, that’s why I think it’s related to the plug in.

    Please contact their support. They should give you support. Maybe their issue. Even the desktop is blank. Only POP-UP for your newsletter is showing. So, it is not related to mobile devices.

    I am sorry about the issue you are having. Are you using any other plugin for Caching/minifying?

    thanks for the reply! We’re also using Autoptimize (minify is deactivated in W3 Total Cache and activated in Autoptimze) and WP Smush for Lazy Loading.

    However, deactivating the mentioned plugins doesn’t change anything. It’s only once I deactivate W3 Total Cache that the issue is fixed.

    Just to confirm, you disable all W3 Total Cache settings in Performance>General settings, save all settings and purge caches, you are still experiencing the same issue?
    If that is the case, please try to disable HTML minify in AO and see if the issue persists. There is a known conflict in some cases between AO and W3TC as W3 Tota Cache is loading minify library even when minify is disabled.
