    I want to embed Youtube on my website mostly so that
    users can listen to audio on their smartphone. However, when their
    smartphone screen locks (due to timeout or the user locking it),
    Youtube stops because there is no video output.

    A Youtube Red subscription, however, does allow a background playback
    option (as so many people are now listening to music on Youtube).

    My question is: can I somehow use Youtube Red with this plugin to
    overcome the problem or can you suggest another way of getting around
    the issue?

    Thanks for your question!

    Unfortunately, YouTube WD plugin does not have the mentioned functionality. It is not integrated with YouTube Red, and YouTube itself doesn’t support this feature.
