• After updating to WP 5.9, the appearance of my blog changed. The quickest way to see the problem is to look at the previous version in the Wayback Machine compared to the current version.

I used the WordPress Appearance setting to specify a background image, a repeated green basket weave pattern. Then the 960 pixel wide blog using the WooThemes Canvas theme sits on top of the background, with the background not showing and only visible outside the 960 pixel area on the sides.

Now the background shows through the main blog area, and all the boundary lines are also invisible.

All plugins up to date. Cache cleared. Fails with all plugins disabled.

If I have to, I can delete the background, but it was sort of a signature element of the blog related to its topic.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Since you use a commercial theme and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

Commercial products are not supported in these forums.

WooThemes dropped support for Canvas years ago.

WooThemes dropped support for Canvas years ago.

The day the developer announced discontinuation of development and support for the theme was the day you should have started working on migrating to another theme.

That’s because, as WordPress continues to evolve, sooner or later your abandoned theme is going to break and stop working completely.

So, I’m afraid, your options are:

    1) Hire someone to fix the current problem for you if you’re unable to fix it yourself. Note that, if you take this route, you’ve essentially made the theme your custom theme… and you’ll be responsible for maintaining it going forward.

    2) Switch to an actively developed and supported theme.

    Good luck!
