Background with opacity

  • I have been lucky that the plugin is working great since the update, but I am struggling with a style issue and was hoping someone can help. I want to make a white or black background behind the slider that has a 50% opacity. Anytime i set the opacity is also affects the opacity of the images. I have tried all of these:
    .galleria.photocrati-nextgen_pro_horizontal_filmstrip
    .galleria-container
    #gallery
    .galleria-container.notouch

    I also tried using a png but it did not give the desired effect.

    Any ideas on how to create a background with opacity without affecting the images?
