Backing up and restoring TablePress table data
-
I have sleuthed out (you are very good with your replies to questions Tobias, made it easy) that TablePress stores the data in the wp_posts table in the main WordPress SQL database. I can see that this ensures that the data is nicely backed up with the whole of the database and I do backup my site daily. However, something (fooTable messing up at least one of our TablePress tables) got us worried about what would happen if we had something wrong in our table data and wanted to restore an earlier state of the data. In fact fooTable hadn’t damaged the data, just its presentation, and we dropped it but we’re still wondering about a way to keep a separate backup of the TablePress data that would allow selective roll back of a table. I can see that I can achieve this by using the manual export functions in the plugin but I’d really like to be able to get an automatic daily export or something like that. Is that possible? Is that something for a wishlist? Thanks in advance and for a great plugin. Chris
