• I tried doing a search to see if anybody else has asked about this but didn’t get any results so here goes nothing…

Has anybody created a plugin for WP that integrates Backpack into the WP admin panel? I’d really like to be able to access my backpack account from say the dashboard or even a new set of pages in the admin panel. I have my Dashboard set as my home page, so being able to patch backpack to the dashboard would be a great feature so that I didn’t have to open another tab in Firefox.

If there isn’t a plugin already, can someone point me to a resource that I could use, in addition to the backpack API to create the plugin myself?

    Thanks

  • What features are you looking for? The backpack API is fairly extensive, so it’s far from one-shot support, but possibly tackling a single particular data item you want to show in the dashboard would be pretty easy. I’m already using CG-FeedRead to access tadalist feeds, though that’s pretty simple XML compared to what backpack is doing.

If you have a particular thing in mind, I could take a looksee… ??

Ideally, what I’d like is something that allows the pages in Backpack to display as tabs on the dashboard, and be able to manage the pages through WP’s admin panel. Being able to access the different pages through the dashboard, and possibly being able to check off items in the todo lists would be most important I think…

I’d be pretty interested in any Backpack/Wordpress integration. Surprised there aren’t more posts related to it.

Does backpack have a package that you can install and run off of your own server?
