Backslash appearing every time I use an apostrophe

    On several homepage widgets, I have a backslash appearing every time I use an apostrophe! So my words are appearing as: we/’re, they/’re, John/’s, etc. I already tried disabling my plugins and the problem isn’t originating there. Then I tried switching to a different theme and the issue went away and didn’t carry over. So I suspect the issue lies in the Aneeq theme. Has this happened before to anyone else and is this something that I can fix?
