Backup does’t word: Error message

    Hello,

    I use the backwpup plugin for many years without problem. However, for a week, backup does not run. This error message appears: Job restarts due to inactivity for more than 5 minutes
    I followed your solution here (https://backwpup.com/docs/job-restarts-due-to-inactivity-for-more-than-5-minutes/), but I still have the same error message.

    I also noticed that the backup job stops and the following error message is displayed:Job has started, but not responded for 10 seconds.

    So I checked the information, But the server self connect displays this:

    Please give me your server info in BackWPUp -> Settings -> Infomation.

    Also, is it possible for you to temporarily disable all plugins except BackWPUp plugin then run the job again, is it works?

    Hi,

    Whene i execute the job, it started until compressionzip and it stoped aftef 5 minuts.
    I disabled all plugins except BackWPUp plugin and i started the job. It does’t works.

    please try to enable alternative cron then run the job again:

    modify wp-config.php (you can find this file in the website root directory ), and before the line:
    /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
    add this line:
    define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’ , true );

    Hi @duongcuong96,

    Thanks for your help.

    I tried to allow alternative cron, but the job stops during compression “ziparchive”. So I changed the archive format in the settings: I chose Tar Gzip.

    now the backup works.

    in some hosting environments, PHP zip extension can cause the issue so switch to Tar is the best solution
