backup from cpanel not phpmyadmin

  • hello every one i posted b4 and no one answer me
    anyway i have a big problem today
    i was always download my backup for database from cpanel only ( backup for database )not from phpmyadmin coz i don’t know from where in phpmyadmin download the backups
    i faced problems with my database suddenly so i restore the backup then i found that the all words in the database is questions marks .. i think that problem with the chratset but i don’t know from where i can fixed that
    some one told me that i must downloads the backups from phpmyadmin not from Cpanel
    so i only now have one backup downloaded from the cpanel can i fixed this backup in anyway .. or what
