    Hi Team,

    Need urgent help.

We have been using this plugin for regular backups but somehow while backing up today I could see the physical memory and I/O usage in my cpanel was full and hence tried stopping the backup process. From then I am facing the issue in opening any page in the wordpress admin panel it says “503 Server unavailable” Could you please help me to get this fixed. Can I deactivate or delete the plugin from the cpanel so that the process gets stopped.

    Thanks
    Shashikant

  • Same thing here on my side on DirectAdmin with CloudLinux. Insane amount of I/O. Even if I raise the limit to any value, it is reached while backing-up.

    Hi,

UpdraftPlus has been designed to be dependent on your server resources. We suggest running your backups where website activity is low or during the wee hours as website resources reset every 24 hours. By doing that you get plenty of resources available.

Please check this FAQ too on how to reduce server resource usage – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-much-resources-does-updraftplus-need/

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle
