Hello! I noticed yesterday that my website was running very slowly, and then saw a Total Upkeep backup was running. It seems to have been running continuously now for more than 24 hours, creating a backup file every few hours, and slowing down my site to the point where it is usually timing out. I even tried deactivating the plugin, and then deleted it, and the backups were still continuing. I reinstalled it to try and turn it off, but nothing is working and my website is basically unusable, new backups are continuously running. My site is hosted on Westhost and they have not been able to help me. Any ideas?

This is the log file that was created during the most recent backup:

I think I was able to disrupt the backup cycle, and everything is working smoothly again. Not sure why this happened, but it is resolved for now!

    Hi @cornerstone569,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m happy to hear you’ve got your issue under control.

Do you remember setting up any automated backups at some point? It’s possible there’s a cron still running somewhere but uninstalling the plugin typically removes crons automatically.

Please let us know if this issue arises again, we’d be happy to take a deeper look!
