Backup issues

    My backup was about 150 mbs and then jumped to 3 gbs overnight without much change to the site. I just updated the plugin and the problem is still occurring. I’m also getting this error at the top of the screen. The wp-cron.php file is in the root directory of the site.

    BackUpWordPress has detected a problem. wp-cron.php is returning a 404 Not Found response which could mean cron jobs aren’t getting fired properly. BackUpWordPress relies on wp-cron to run scheduled back ups. See the FAQ for more details.

    Regarding the size of your backups, you’ll need to work out what is taking up that extra space, the best way is to take a look inside the large zip file, either by downloading it and unzipping or by unzipping it on the server.
