I been playing around with some test accounts backup and migrating to other sites. During the restore, I happened to notice a lot of Database restore lines.

I went into my phpMyAdmin and notice on a fairly brandnew site multiple db tables with different prefixes.

My host adds several unwanted plugins that I delete, but I kind of forget to check the DB file and clean that up before backing up.

Does BM NOT clean up the DB of the migrating to site? There’s at least 23 triplicate tables and 3 different table prefixes. Which table prefix is the current DB? I’s like to delete the rest.

    Thank you.

    Hello @nsmweb ,

As the notice on the start of the restoration states, the process will not “clean up” the WP instance where the restoration is being started. This means that old files will stay there, unused. If you want a “clean”, the simplest way to do so is to set up a fresh WP instance first, then restore a backup.

    Kind regards
