backup not recognised

    HI,
    I am looking at whether Updraft will do what I want it to. I have tried it on one site, backed up the database (it creates a .gz file) and then on another site tried to restore the database with updraft but it doesn’t recognise the .gz file created with updraft, that seemed odd that it didn’t recognise its own file. Am I missing something on the backup/restore process?

    Hi,

    I just want to clarify, the backup are all created with UpdraftPlus? If so, then UpdraftPlus should be able to recognise it. If not, UpdraftPlus only supports few other backup plugins that it is able to restore.

    Yes, the back up created with updraft is a .gz file but updraft doesn’t recognise it.

    can you tell tell us the full file name of the file you are trying to upload?(you can substitute your site name with something like my-site if you don’t wish your site name to be displayed)
