Backup not transferred to S3

Finally got this to work. The problem is that S3 does not require region selection. If you create a bucket with any region other than US-Standard the backup will fail. In short, the created bucket and the BackWPup settings should both be US-Standard. I tested both with buckets created through the AWS console and through the BackWPup job settings.

I was also able to re-create the situation as hmclean reported above however, embarrassingly, I cannot recall how I did it.

All testing was done with the release version, not the development version.

In the upcoming Version 3 i use the new Amazon SDK for PHP with this sdk the region must set ever time. We hope we can release Version 3 very soon.

Daniel, the problem still exists in version 3. I get the same error.

sorry, ignore my previous post. The problem was that I selected the wrong server (Ireland while it should have been US default).
