Has anyone noticed that the “Backup Now” button doesn’t work after upgrading to WordPress 5.6?

If this has happened to you, what did you do?

Sorry, I’m seeing now that this appears to be an issue only when I’m using Chrome.

It doesn’t work for me in Chrome or Safari. What web browser did you use?

It worked when I switched to Firefox.

When I had the same issue (which seems to have mysteriously resolved at least for the moment), I was only accessing it in Firefox, which didn’t help.

    Hi,

Does it help if you use incognito mode?

If not, could you run the following test with your browser’s developer tools?

    – In your browser, open your Developer Tools (instructions on how to do this for each major browser can be found here)
    – Open the ‘Console’ tab if it is not already open
    – Reload the page and attempt to click “backup now” button

Do you see any errors appear in the developer console? Could you send me a copy of screenshot of those errors?

    Thanks,
    Bryle

    Are you seeing this error:

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
    at updraft_backup_dialog_open (updraft-admin-common-1-16-46.min.js?ver=1.16.46:1)
    at HTMLButtonElement.onclick (options-general.php?page=updraftplus&tab=backups:466)

I am getting the same behaviour

Hello, I have the same issue since the update, the backup button clicks but does nothing, I have tried, Google, Firefox and M/S Edge, does anyone have any more ideas please? Thank you, Richard
