• Are backup.php processes a WP thing?
My sites resources are limited. A2 hosting says it is because I have a long line of backup.php processes making too many demands on resources. They also sent me to a Knowledgebase article that told me how to monitor resources but not how to fix the problem.

Can anyone tell me if this is a WP problem or something else, or maybe just how to fix it or where to go to ask how to fix it.

A2 is not going to help.

  • This sounds like a problem with a backup plugin the problem is most of the common backup plugins all have a file called backup.php so it is hard to pinpoint what the problem could be exactly.

Yeah, somethign went wrong with Updraft. I set it to Fortnightly updates but it scheduled a bunch of backups anyway. OR Updraft interacted with something else and together they did something weird.
I am not sure what happened but don’t want to blame the backup program without real proof.

    THank you for responding

Best if you get help from updraft support if you’re still experiencing issues.
