    Hi.
No matter which backup schedule I set in the settings, Weekly or Monthly, the Next scheduled backups is the next day.
    Why?
Is this a feature of the paid version only?

    Hi,

Can you send me a screenshot of the “Backup/Restore” tab?
You cannot attach here so please use an online tool like https://prnt.sc/.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

It looks like your WordPress scheduler may be broken.
To confirm this, can you install a plugin called WP-Crontrol? This will allow you to see all scheduled tasks that WordPress is handling.

    Thanks,

    I’ve tried it.
It seems that there is a time lag before the settings are reflected in the UpdraftPlus administration page.
Immediately after the setting, it will be the next day.
“Recurrence” in “Cron Event” of WP-Crontrol shows the normal schedule.
However, “Next Run” is set to the next day.

    Hi,

Can you check if your server is set the same time as your timezone?

    Thanks for the reply.
I’m in Japan, and both the server and WordPress timezone are in Asia/Tokyo.
I’ve tested on two different hosting services, and the symptoms are the same for both.
In other words, there is a time lag after setting the schedule in UpdraftPlus before it is reflected in the admin page.
    I wonder why?

    Hi,

Is your server and WordPress timezone setting is set on the same Asia/Tokyo?
It could be following your server time that is why it is running on different time.

    Thanks,

As I mentioned before, the server timezone is also set to Asia/Tokyo.

At first I was aware that the schedule was not set up properly as the topic title suggests.
In fact, it doesn’t seem to be reflected immediately in the UpdraftPlus configuration screen.

Once again, even if you specify “weekly”, the next schedule will be the next day in the UpdraftPlus settings screen.
In fact, the backup will be performed on the next day, but it will reflect the next week, which is an arbitrary time.

In other words, if the backup schedule is not executed once, the settings will not be reflected.

And this phenomenon is the same for different hosting services, even for environments where I just installed WordPress and added UpdraftPlus.

    Hi,

Sorry to ask again, I just want to make sure we are on the same page.
If you go to your WordPress dashboard “Settings” > General > Timezone > is the timezone correct?

If the timezone on server and WP is no longer the issue, then I would suggest using the WP-Control and edit the time manually. You can find this in the Tools > Cron Events.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

As I have replied many times, the time zones of WordPress and the server are exactly the same and correct.
This is a phenomenon on top of that.

I know WP-Control can take care of this, but does that mean this is an issue with UpdraftPlus?

I’ve tried it on multiple hosts and environments, and the results are the same.
Do other users have this problem?
