Backup stalls and then says Not Finished

    When I click “Backup Now” the backup begins and gets about 60% of the way through. The progress bar displays shows
    “Thu, March 20, 2014 12:36 – next resumption: 1 (after 173s) – show log – delete schedule
    Uploading files to remote storage (60%, file 4 of 5)”
    After the time in the countdown is exhausted it moves on to “next resumption: 2 (after xxxs)”

    It does this about 6 times and then just stops attempting the backup.

    Last backup job run: No backup has been completed.

    Backups, logs & restoring: 5 set(s) available

    All 5 sets show “(Not Finished)”. I am not sure if there is a setting I should change or something else affecting the backup attempts. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need more information to assist with this problem. Thank you!

    Hi Shawna,

    When you choose ’email’ as the remote storage method, UpdraftPlus displays a message warning you that many sites will be too big for email (i.e. email servers will refuse to accept such overly-large messages), and that using this method isn’t likely to work unless you know your site is small. The log file shows that that is the problem you’re having.
