I have several websites that use Updraft Plus, with Google Drive selected as the remote storage.

Over the past month, I’ve repeatedly received the error “Waiting until scheduled time to retry because of errors“.

Here is the log file of one of the websites: https://pastebin.com/7DeNQrHi

If you’ll noticed, it says on line 600

” 0615.981 (2) Google Drive: ERROR: Have not yet obtained an access token from Google (has the user authorized?)”

This is not true, I have authorized the use of that Google Drive account.

I have tried to reauthorize, it doesn’t work.

I have tried to Wipe the settings, it still doesn’t work.

I have read through many of the related posts on this forum, none of them answer the question properly. Many of the threads were even closed before the issue is solved.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do? I don’t want to have to migrate to another backup solution.

I also tried to backup using Updraft Central. It still doesn’t work. I get the same error: “0615.981 (2) Google Drive: ERROR: Have not yet obtained an access token from Google (has the user authorized?)”

    Hi,

The error message means that UpdraftPlus has not gained authorization from your remote storage yet. Please authenticate by clicking in the authorize link in the UpdraftPlus “Settings” tab > Google Drive section.

    Thanks,

Thank you for your response, but as I explained before, I have already authenticated with Google Drive.

    Here is the text:

    “Authenticate with Google:

(You appear to be already authenticated,?though you can authenticate again to refresh your access if you’ve had a problem).?Follow this link to remove these settings for Google Drive.

To de-authorize UpdraftPlus (all sites) from accessing your Google Drive, follow this link to your Google account settings.

After?you have saved your settings (by clicking ‘Save Changes’ below), then come back here and follow this link to complete authentication with Google Drive.”

I did this many times. I authenticated and then clicked save. Still nothing.

    Hi,

Can you please try to Wipe settings from UpdraftPlus > Advanced tools > Wipe settings, Click Wipe settings button. Then re-setup your GoogleDrive remote storage.

    Kind Regards,

Thanks for the reply again. Again, as I explained in the original post, I have already wiped the settings.

I also tried to delete and reinstall/activate UpdraftPlus. Does not work.

Is there something within the Google account that I should be checking out?

    Hi,

It is possible that one of your plugins is causing conflict or blocking the connection. If you deactivate all other plugins, re-authenticate and test. Does the backup now gets to upload to your Google Drive?

    Thanks,
    Bryle
