backups stalling out

    I just installed UpdraftPlus on a client site a couple of days ago. Initially, I left it running and went away to do something else. When I returned hours later, the backup was still running. I realized that as large as the site was, this was not right, aborted, retried, and was able to create a successful backup with the second attempt.

    However, today it is stalling out again (and I have deleted many of the larger files, and excluded directories with other backups). I have made 4 attempts, and the backup process doesn’t seem able to get past the plugins backup, which at this point, is not that large if the previous backups are being ignored as they should be. I downloaded the log file on the most recent attempt before I aborted, if anyone wants to take a look.

    Could you send us a copy of the most recent backup log?

    This will be too long to post the contents here, but you can use an online service such as https://pastebin.com/ and post the link.

    I’d prefer not to post the link publicly, as it contains client paths and other info, and this client is just recovering from a hack. Can I send the link to you?

    Seriously? You are denying me support because I want to protect my client’s security? Not cool.

    Never mind, there are plenty of other backup plugins to choose from.
